Hotel Buca di Bacco sits in the heart of Positano. Not only is this a fabulous hotel to stay at, but you can enjoy a family meal, gelato, and your morning cappuccino at the bar on the beach level. Upon arriving in Positano, our first meal was in the 2nd level Buca di Bacco Ristorante. We had been dreaming of pasta smothered in lemon essence. So, sitting on the beachside under the coral chandeliers, gazing out to the azure blue sea, we dined on the best pasta we had ever tasted - Spaghetti al Limone. One can only imagine that these grapefruit-sized lemons can be so tasty.
A visit to Buca di Bacco became a daily routine: morning coffee at the stand-up bar, lunches, gelato, and of course evening cocktails on the 3rd floor patio watching the beach pack up for the day. One has to also walk the stairs to Caffè Positano for the grilled mozzarella on lemon leaves. Dine on their delicious menu on the outdoor patio tables which hang cliffside with the most beautiful view of the town and Spiaggia Grande beach below.
