Summer Berry Sangria

Makes 4 - 6 Servings
Light and refreshing, a “summery” taste of Spain.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750-ml) red wine, preferably Spanish
  • ½ cup (125ml) brandy 
  • 1 can (180ml)  lemon soda
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced, quartered and seeded
  • 1 green apple, thinly sliced, quartered and seeded
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced, quartered and seeded
  • fresh cherries for garnish
  • ice

Method

In a large pitcher, add the wine, brandy, lemon soda and honey.  Mix and add sliced fruit.  Top with ice and stir.  Taste and add additional honey if you like it sweeter.  

Fill glasses with ice, garnish with fruit and add the sangria.  

Top with a fresh cherry and serve.
