Raspberry Tequila Sangria

Ingredients

  • 2 limes - juiced
  • 1 lime, cut into thin slices/seeds removed, if any
  • 1 orange - juiced
  • 1 orange, cut into thin slices/seeds removed, if any
  • ¼ cup (60ml) sugar
  • 6 cups (1.6L) ice
  • 1 bag frozen raspberries, sweetened – up to 12 ounces (340g) 
  • 1 cup (240ml) tequila
  • ½ cup (120ml) triple sec
  • 1 (750ml) bottle of brut champagne 
  • 4 cups (950ml) lemon/lime soda - chilled

Method

Take the juice from two limes and one orange – each should equal ¼ cup (60 ml).

Mix juice with sugar in a microwave proof bowl and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.  Sugar should be dissolved.

Add ice to a beautiful glass pitcher and top with fresh juice mixture, fruit slices, frozen raspberries, tequila, and triple sec – stir well.

Slowly add bottle of champagne and soda – stir gently.
