Ingredients

  • 2 cups (475ml) ketchup
  • 1 cup (240ml) water
  • ½ cup (120ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons (57.5g) light brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons (62.5g) sugar
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5g) fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5g) onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon (7.5g) ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce

Method

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. 

Cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 1 hour 15 minutes.
