Shinrin-yoku or Taking in the forest atmosphere is a wilderness therapy developed in by the Japanese Forest Agency during the 1980’s.
The idea is to awaken the senses, and the body, through immersion and contemplation of nature. To take the time to hear, smell and feel the living world around us. Researchers have been compiling the health benefits of spending time walking under a canopy of living forest. Studies have found that it helps reduce stress, emotional tension; eases depression, anxiety, fatigue; and help bring clarity by improving creative and cognitive functions.
In short, it provides a general sense of well-being.

Eating around the campfire makes the food taste extra special after a long day outside. Even the sun sets in paradise.

A sophisticated, yet simple, yummy dessert. Simply fill apple core with fruit and sugar mix, cover in foil and toss over hot coals until apples are soft.
